Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative

VetFran was created by the International Franchise Association and the Department of Veterans Affairs, though not government-funded. 1,500 franchises purchased, 228 in negotiation = 1,728 franchises to date.

PepsiCo Foundation

PepsiCo Foundation, a company-created program, provides financial grants for business development, education, training, and technical assistance of up to $10,000 to veterans who have acquired a franchise through VetFran.

SBA Patriot Express Pilot Loan Initiative

SBA's Express and pilot programs offer streamlined and expedited loan procedures for particular groups of borrowers, notably active duty military personnel, veterans, and borrowers from distressed communities.

Veteran Franchising Legislation

Help Veterans Own Franchises Act: tax credit for franchise businesses that choose to offer qualified vets a discounted initial franchise fee.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act: tax credit to employers who hire qualified vets.
